Flexsystems gains exclusive right to use corn-based, phthalate-free PVC material

Flexsystems has announced that it now is manufacturing products using a new phthalate-free, medical-grade PVC material. The company reports that it has the exclusive right to this material in its industries worldwide.

Flex BioCorn™ is a corn-based material that gives the PVC flexibility and soft characteristics. First used and tested with medical parts, the product is now being used in items for children, patches, labels, keychains, and promotional items.

The company says its products are REACH- and RoHS-compliant and will pass USP Type VI and cytotoxicity testing.
