At FMA we highlight innovation, inspire the next generation, and connect all people on the workforce lifecycle with the resources they need to thrive. We do this because serving our community of skilled workers, students, and business members is how we shape the world.
Advancing technology has affected everything around us, and it is only through community that we can actively contribute to a prosperous future for the metal fabricators and manufacturers of today.
Our flagship publication, The FABRICATOR has served the industry since 1970, and continues to pioneer new platforms for metal fabricators to talk about tools, processes, and improvements. Issues that affect the industry as a whole and details that hit our daily operations on the shop floor are called out and discussed by editors and experts alike. Our podcast, digital content, and print publications are packed with the latest technologies and the best new ideas we can find.
Through events such as FABTECH, we connect with the many voices and ideas that move our vibrant and innovative workforce forward. Recently we unveiled our new logo and look to members and colleagues on the FABTECH show floor, which was met with resounding support. We will continue to advocate for the growth and sustainability of this industry – but now FMA is moving forward with a whole new look and an updated mission:

From the students receiving NBT scholarships to begin their careers, to the executives attending leadership conferences – everyone has a place here. Our industry is an innovative environment for people at every stage of the workforce lifecycle.
Together, we have reinforced over and over again just how important our industry is to a thriving society. From individual shop floor workers to nationally recognized OEMs, we are moving the metals industry forward at breakneck speeds. We’re glad to have you with us.
